The School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) of the Universitat Politècnica de València has recognized two students for their outstanding work developed within the framework of the Urban Energy Transition Chair, as part of the 2nd Edition of the SDG Teaching Distinctions.

🎓 Amparo Calvete Sala was awarded for her Bachelor’s Thesis, “Design of a progressive implementation plan for heat pumps to contribute to the decarbonization of thermal demand on the Vera campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València”. Her work presents a clear roadmap towards a more sustainable and climate-neutral university campus.

🔋 Elena Navarrete Ripoll received recognition for her training activity during her internship at the Chair, “Statistical methodology framework for forecasting urban electric vehicle charging requirements”. Her research provides analytical tools to anticipate electric vehicle charging demand in urban environments, supporting efficient and low-emission mobility planning.

From the Urban Energy Transition Chair, we warmly congratulate Amparo and Elena for this well-deserved achievement, a reflection of the commitment, creativity, and enthusiasm of young engineers working towards a sustainable energy future.
