What we do

The Urban Energy Transition Chair at the Universitat Politècnica de València promotes knowledge, innovation, and collaboration among institutions, companies, and citizens to move toward a more sustainable, efficient, and resilient urban model.
Our work is structured around four main areas that address energy challenges from a comprehensive perspective.

Our lines of work

City Decarbonisation Strategies

We develop methodologies and plans to reduce urban emissions, promoting energy planning that is aligned with climate-neutrality objectives.

Energy Modelling and Simulation

We apply advanced modeling and simulation tools to analyze the city’s energy performance and assess the impact of different strategies and technologies.

Energy-Efficient and Smart Buildings

We research solutions to improve energy efficiency in buildings and promote the integration of smart management and self-consumption systems.

Dissemination, Outreach, and Knowledge Transfer

We promote training, awareness, and collaboration with administrations, companies, and citizens, facilitating the practical application of research results.

UPV-City

The Chair has supported the UPV’s València 2030 mission by participating in the UPV Living Lab, a UPV laboratory committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
