Urban energy planning that aims to moderate energy consumption and decarbonize it requires estimating in detail the consumption of the inhabitants and the economic activities of the city, their habits, the technologies they use daily and the future evolution of these elements.
Energy Modeling
The Chair works in several strategies to contribute to the evaluation of the city’s decarbonization strategies:
- Roadmaps for the decarbonization of neighborhoods
- Modeling positive energy districts
- Modeling and simulation of energy communities
- Use of multi-criteria tools for decision making
In the line of energy modeling work, the researchers associated with the Chair participate in the following projects:
- Support for the fair and inclusive energy transition strategy Valencia 2030
- Participation in the Valencia Energy Transition Table
